Gil directed the feature motion pictures "Cat's Cradle, Winter Kill, HALO, Unfinished Business & Green Eyes". "Winter Kill" aired on the CORUS Entertainment Network of movie channels (Movie Central, etc.) and "HALO" was a huge hit on "Rogers/Shaw: Video on Demand" and on CHUM TV. ÒCatÕs CradleÓ and ÒUnfinished BusinessÓ are currently being distributed world wide. "Green Eyes" was a top rental in indie video stores. "Green Eyes" was broadcast on The Academic Channel, University of Haifa, Isreal's Education in Film Program and on CHUM.
Spring '03 Gil was nominated for an AMPIA (Alberta Motion Picture Industry Award) for Best Director for, "Where the Dinosaurs Roam..." a TV special. "Where the Dinosaurs Roam...", was also nominated for Best Picture. Gil was nominated for Best Director a second time (Spring '05) for "HALO".
When time permits, Gil teaches acting and motion picture production at The King's University College, Taylor University and Concordia University College of Alberta. For a decade Gil was the Creative & Communications Director at Concordia High School as well as a stage director and drama teacher. He also produced all the television commercials and videos for the high school and Psychology dept, CUCA. Gil continues to freelance in film and television.
